Derrick and Roltgen present senior art exhibit ‘Adipose Playground,’ reception May 2

Tomás Q. Morín, the author of Patient Zero and the poetry collection A Larger Country, will read from his work Wednesday, April 12, at Ripon College. The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Lane Library. It will be free and open to the public and is sponsored by the College’s Visiting Writers Series.
A Larger Country won the 2011 APR/Honickman First Book Prize and was runner-up for the PEN/Joyce Osterweil Award. His poems have appeared in Slate, Threepenny Review, Boulevard, Poetry, New England Review and Narrative.
Morin translated Pablo Neruda’s The Heights of Macchu Picchu and, with Mari L’Esperance, co-edited the anthology Coming Close: Forty Essays on Philip Levine.
He teaches at Texas State University and in the low residency MFA program of Vermont College of Fine Arts.
