Jamaica Week being held to promote service project

Jamaica Week is being held this week by Student Volunteers for the Blue Mountain Project. The goal is to raise money for the group’s annual trip to Hagley Gap, Jamaica.

  • On Tuesday, a fundraiser will be held at Culver’s from 5 to 8 p.m. During these hours, 10 percent of the purchases will be donated to the Blue Mountain Project.
  • On Thursday, a fundraiser will be held at Mugs Coffeehouse. During the day, Mugs will be selling Jamaican coffee and homemade cupcakes, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Blue Mountain Project.
  • The week will conclude with a party at The Pub on campus starting at 9 p.m.

The Blue Mountain Project is a nonprofit organization that works with the communities located in the blue mountains of Jamaica. Ripon sends students every year to help serve the community.
