Oblinger’s Work to Appear in Cincinnati Group Exhibit
Mollie Oblinger, associate professor of art at Ripon College, will have her work featured in a group exhibit at the Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) in Cincinnati.
The exhibit, “Shall I tell you the secret of the whole world? Painting, Parody & Disguise,” will run March 29 – July 26, 2014 and is curated by Cincinnati-based artist Michael Stillion.
According to the CAC website, his exhibition, “assembles artists from, or currently based in Cincinnati who turn camouflage, costuming and misdirection into vehicles for resistance and revelation. Smiling coyly behind the mask with tongue in cheek, this work revels in carnivalesque contradiction: pushing secrets and chagrin into an unfamiliar spotlight.”
