Messitte Reflects on Films and Academic Inquiry in L.A. Times
Ripon College President Zach Messitte penned an opinion piece that appears in today’s Los Angeles Times. The piece, “History lessons, with popcorn, for America’s undergraduates,” appears in advance of the Academy Awards next month.
Messitte, who also teaches in Ripon’s Department of Politics and Government, reflects on the importance of the movies in the classroom and their ability to, “inspire young people to greater academic inquiry,” and their role in shaping the, “narrative of our politics and policies for years to come.”
