Colucci Writes on Asia in U.S. News & World Report
Lamont Colucci, associate professor of politics and government and director of the national security studies program at Ripon College recently penned two columns for U.S. News & World Report that related to the United States’ involvement in Asia.
His February 27 column, “Horror on Our Watch,” compared conditions in North Korea to atrocities committed in Poland, the Soviet Union, and Cambodia over the past century. Colucci writes, “The regime’s days should be cataloged and numbered; the Kim dynasty should be ended and the great powers ought to be embarrassed at how long it is taking.” Click here to read the full piece.
Colucci’s February 14 column, “Give the Pivot to Asia Some Teeth,” discussed the rising tension between China and Japan, Japan’s plans for expanded military power, and the moves the United States should make in response. Click here to read the article in its entirety.
