Ripon College Black Student Union to hold community soul food dinner Nov. 12
The 11th annual Soul Food Dinner will be held Sunday, Nov. 12, hosted by the Black Student Union of Ripon College. The dinner will run from 5-6 p.m. at The Terrace in Bovay Hall. Members of the Ripon College and Ripon communities are invited to attend free of charge and enjoy traditional soul food prepared by members of the BSU. The relaxing evening will include music and friendship in a homey and comfortable atmosphere similar to a traditional Sunday dinner.
“BSU hopes for those who do not identify as African-American to walk away with some aspect of our culture through food and great hospitality,” says BSU member Markea Norris ’20 of Milwaukee Wisconsin.
