College Feminists offer talks on important topics
“One Big Sexy Blowout,” an annual event hosted by the Ripon College Feminists, will be held from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, in the Heritage Room, S.N. Pickard Commons.
The event will bring together students, faculty and other clubs to discuss uncomfortable, but important, issues in a welcoming environment. Topics include feminism, mental health and body image and more aimed at providing students with a better understanding of their own health as well as the Feminists club.
“We hope to bring awareness to campus about issues that some people may not be comfortable talking about, but are essential,” said club member Sophie Widman. “We also just want to have a fun time learning!”
Snacks and crafts also will be available.
