Senior studio art majors to exhibit work beginning Friday

Work by senior student art majors will be exhibited Friday, April 27, through May 13 in the lobby of C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts. It is a culmination of the students’ studies at Ripon College.

Featured artists are Keeley Eames of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, and Caryssa Waite of Princeton, Wisconsin. Art history major Elizabeth Currier of Fitchburg, Wisconsin, also will have a poster on display.

Using pen, Eames creates individual fleshy creatures and compiles them in a dreamlike atmosphere, evoking an unsettling sensation.

In her digital designs, Waite develops patterns through contrasting color palettes for home decor.

An opening reception will be held at 7 p.m. April 27. Open hours for the exhibit are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
