John Hughes featured in article about this week’s Green Lake Festival workshop
John Hughes, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities, will direct a new four-day choral workshop, “Composer Residency,” featuring music of composer Ola Gjeilo June 21-24 at the Rodman Center for the Arts at Ripon College. The final concert of the Green Lake Festival of Music event will be held at 3:15 p.m. Sunday in the newly refurbished Demmer Hall, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts.
Justus Paul, a retired University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point professor of history, has underwritten the entire expense of this inaugural year of the residency. He now sings in the Choral Union at Ripon College under the direction of Hughes.
