Wisconsin Symphonic Winds will perform June 30
The Wisconsin Symphonic Winds, made up of wind, brass and percussion players from this area of the state, will perform a family concert Saturday, June 30, as part of the Green Lake Festival of Music.
The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Demmer Recital Hall, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts at Ripon College. The selections of American music will include “American Patrol,’’ Charles Ives’ funny “Variations on America,” a symphonic suite from Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story,” “The Stars and Stripes Forever” and others.
Kurt Dietrich, professor of music and a charter member of the ensemble, will participate.
Ripon College is the sponsor of the concert.
