Hannah Krueger ’21 interns with Fond du Lac County district attorney
Hannah Krueger ’21 of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, interned with the Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney during the summer of 2018. The internship is continuing through December and is supported by a $2,000 Internship Supplemental Grant from the Center for Politics and the People (CPP).
The grant money is allowing Krueger to pay for transportation and supplement wages she would have earned from a different job. She is a double-major in politics and government and history, as well as a double-minor in Spanish and national security studies. In addition, she is a student senator, president of Young Americans for Freedom and the public relations/social media chair for College Republicans.
“I find watching justice in action to be the most rewarding part of my internship,” she says. “To see truth prevail in today’s society is an amazing thing. I have learned so much and acquired skills that will transfer to any career I choose in my adulthood.”
Krueger plans to attend law school and become a district attorney.
Krueger and four other CPP grant recipients will speak about their intern experiences Monday, Oct. 1. “Dream Internships in Public Policy” will run from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in Kresge Little Theater, East Hall.
