Rebecca Matzke presents paper, publishes historical article
Rebecca Matzke, professor of history and associate dean for faculty development, had recent professional activities.
She presented a paper, “Britain’s Great War Naval Propaganda: A Campaign to Create a ‘Special Relationship,’” at the Southern Conference on British Studies, Nov. 9, 2018, in Birmingham, Alabama.
She also wrote a historical piece for the Oshkosh Northwestern newspaper about Oshkosh’s experiences on the original Armistice Day, Nov. 11, 1918. “With cowbells, church bells and factory whistles, Oshkosh raised joyous Armistice celebration” was published on the front page of the newspaper on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, the centennial of Armistice Day.
