Theatre production of ‘Tartuffe’ receives regional nominations
The Department of Theatre’s production of “Tartuffe” received several nominations for the next Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in a five-state theatre region.
Theatre professors from area campuses reviewed the show and nominated various production participants for as many awards as possible for an associate production, says Ken Hill, professor of theatre, the Doreen L. ’73 and David I. Chemerow Chair in Theatre, and chair of the Department of Theatre.
- Race Rohde ’20 of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Mackenzie Swart ’20 of Brookfield, Wisconsin, were Irene Ryan Acting Award nominees.
- A Certificates of Merit was awarded for John Dalziel, associate professor of theatre, and Crystal Fercy ’19 of Appleton, Wisconsin, for scenery design.
- A Certificate of Merit was awarded for Susan McDaniel Hill, visiting professor of theatre, and Heidi DeCaluwe ’20 of West Bend, Wisconsin, for costume design.
- The department also was nominated to bring a scene from the show to the festival which will be held next January.
