Ethnomusicologist Julianne Graper will discuss her recent work, “Bat City: The Nature-Culture of Austin’s Music Scene,” Friday at Ripon College. Graper’s work is a multispecies ethnographic project on bat-human relationships and sound in Austin, Texas, and Chiapas, Mexico.

The event will run from 2:30 to 3:20 p.m. in the choir room, room 156, in C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts. All are welcome to attend.

Graper’s attendance is made possible through the Lynn Post Northrop Endowed Fund for Women Speakers at Ripon College.
