We’re still here: Tyler VanDeVelde ’20
After graduation in May, Tyler VanDeVelde ’20 of Genoa City, Wisconsin, will head to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh to study for a master’s degree in school counseling.
At Ripon, he is majoring in sociology with a minor in anthropology.
The most important lesson he learned at Ripon, he says, is “that everyone matters and that there are many different ways to achieve a goal or task. Trust the process.”
While finishing the semester off campus, he is taking “lots of jogs with my dog, Ki,” he says. “It’s not ideal and I wish nothing more than to be on campus, but a degree is a degree. We get to be the only class in Ripon College history to go through this as seniors.”
