We’re still here: DeShawn Thomas ’20

DeShawn Thomas ’20 of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is ready to move forward with a career in the performing arts. The theatre major has accepted a position as a performing arts coordinator at a summer camp, and he has applied to study for a master of fine arts in acting at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He hopes to become a professional actor on stage and screen.

“The one lesson Ripon has taught me that I’ll be taking with me after I graduate is that everyone you meet has the potential to be family, and if you give them a chance they could change your life, and vice versa,” Thomas says.

“I’ve been coping with the end of my senior year by staying connected with friends and working on building an auditioning portfolio.”
