We’re still here: Miye Aoki-Kramer ’20
In the fall, Miye Aoki-Kramer ’20 of Seattle, Washington, plans to student teach. She is a biology major with minors in chemistry and educational studies.
She says the most important lesson she learned at Ripon College is that “it’s important to be an active member of the community and to support each other. And to take nothing for granted — you never know what could happen.”
Aoki-Kramer says that during the off-campus end of the semester, “I wasn’t able to go home which has been pretty difficult, but I’m staying with my boyfriend’s wonderful family and my professors have been fantastic with trying to make sure this transition to online classes is successful.
“Living on campus and being with friends is an irreplaceable experience, and I miss it more than I expected.”
