We’re still here: Timbre Shilts ’20

During the off-campus end to the semester, Timbre Shilts ’20 of Kenosha, Wisconsin, is getting practical experience. She is double majoring in early childhood/middle childhood education and psychology.

While all public schools have been closed in the state of Wisconsin, “I am currently helping families in Wisconsin by tutoring elementary students virtually, whether it be assisting the students with homework assigned from their schools or creating lessons for those that are not getting any school help,” Shilts says.

After graduation, she plans to student teach to get her teaching license.

“The most important thing I have learned from Ripon College is to have confidence in my abilities,” she says.
