Ripon College Chamber Singers perform May 1
The Chamber Singers of Ripon College will present their spring concert on Friday, May 1. The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Demmer Recital Hall, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts. Admission is free and open to the public.
Program selections include “Salmo 150,” by Ernani Aguiar; “Ave verum Corpus,” by William Byrd; “If Ye Love Me,” by Thomas Tallis; “O Heiland, reiß die Himmel auf,” by Johannes Brahms; a set of songs of protest; and selections by Knut Nystedt, John Tavener, Stephen Paulus and Keith Hampton.
Soloists will include Christian Calkins ’17 of Gloucester, Virginia, on percussion; and vocalists McCayla Thoe, Brandon Mastalish, Owen Reynolds, Amber Voelkel, Kyle Greene, Katrina O’Neill, Andrew Widder and Daniel Wohlfert.
John C. Hughes, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities, is the conductor; and Maria Kaiser Dietrich is the pianist and rehearsal accompanist.
