EMPOWERING STUDENTS SINCE 1851
What began as a college preparatory school became a four-year college in 1863. Ripon has grown from its first class of four women to over 700 undergraduates enrolled today. While some buildings standing at the first ceremony are still used today, we’ve grown in excellence and tradition ever since.
A HISTORIC AND SUSTAINABLE CAMPUS
Our 250-acre, tree-lined campus houses 26 buildings (including 10 on the National Register of Historic Places). The Ceresco Prairie Conservancy puts 130 acres of native prairie, oak savanna and wetland habitat in your backyard.
PROVEN ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
Ripon excels so you can, too. We’re home to one of only 290 Phi Beta Kappa chapters in the country. Both the National Forensic League and Phi Kappa Delta began here. And we’ve received the Rex Mix Program of Excellence Award for being the best undergraduate communication program in the country.
