RESTORING OUR BACKYARD

Take a short walk from the lower campus. It won’t be long until you reach the Ceresco Prairie Conservancy—130 acres of restored native prairie, oak savanna and wetland habitat. Started in 1997, this sustainability project is a partnership between the Department of Natural Resources and Ripon College. Today, it’s become a beloved place of college and community tradition.

LEARN AND LOVE THE ECOSYSTEM

Helping reseed the prairies each year. Mountain biking the trails. Just taking time in nature. It’s all part of the Ripon experience. Whether you use Ceresco for research, recreation or rejuvenation, you’ll appreciate this beautiful space all year long. Nothing beats having this protected Wisconsin ecosystem in your backyard.
