Ripon College will celebrate its 175th anniversary in 2026. The Strategic Plan will make sure a Ripon degree stays valuable long after this milestone.
As the higher education landscape continues to evolve, Ripon College needs an actionable roadmap to ensure future success. So in October 2022, a planning process began. Faculty, staff, students, Trustees, and alumni have come together to guide the development of the Strategic Plan over two phases.
PHASE ONE: UNLOCKING OUR FOUNDATION
The Strategic Planning Workshop Group (SPWG) engaged the entire Ripon community. Town halls were held, and SWOT analyses were conducted. They even led an all-campus planning retreat. From these sessions came five core strategic pillars and imperatives that would shape the plan moving forward.

PHASE TWO: DEVELOPING OUR FUTURE
With pillars and imperatives identified, the SPWG developed strategic objectives. The full plan below incorporates market context, detailed objectives, and a clear set of vetted metrics.
We know how critical and tangible investments in infrastructure are to continue to drive admissions and enrollment; however, the long-term sustainability of the College will continue to depend on growing our endowment, prioritizing innovative academic programming and ensuring that our student population is retained through a unique residential and academic experience.
