HONORING YOUR EXPERIENCE
Ripon could be the extraordinary chapter that follows the incredible accomplishments you’ve already earned. We continue to find ways to turn previous academic experiences into transferable credits.
Looking to transfer to Ripon?
Transfer students must complete a minimum of 32 semester credits at Ripon College, including at least one-half the credit hours required for any major or minor and, except under circumstances described in the Ripon College catalog, the senior year must be spent in residence. As a rule of thumb, all college-level coursework in a liberal arts and sciences discipline will be accepted as transfer credits provided the courses were completed at an accredited college and a grade of C- or higher was earned.
TRANSFER REQUIREMENTS
Once enrolled, we expect transfer students to complete the following during their time at Ripon:
- Complete a minimum of 32 semester credits
- Complete at least half the credit hours required for any major or minor

Transfer applicants should present the following:

- Unofficial transcripts from every college/university you attended. Failure to submit all transcripts may impact your admission decision.

If you are a returning student seeking re-admission, please contact the Office of the Registrar via email or at 920-748-8119.
Students should have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale and be in good standing at their previous college or university. Students with fewer than 18 credit hours will be evaluated on the basis of their high school coursework and test scores in addition to college credits earned. Applications from students who have been dismissed by another institution will not be considered until one semester has passed.
What should I expect to get approved?
We accept all college-level coursework in liberal arts and sciences as transfer credits, provided they were completed at an accredited college and completed with a C- or higher.
Credits from online, hybrid, e-learning, blended or comparable courses taken at accredited institutions can be accepted. Approval of transfer credit for these courses will follow the same procedures used to evaluate transfer credit for traditional courses. No credit will be given for correspondence courses.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Once you transfer to Ripon, you’ll need to complete and achieve the following to earn a degree:
- 124 completed semester credits
- 2.00 minimum cumulative GPA
