Ripon Summer Players
In 1996, Ripon Summer Players Theatre (RSPT) was founded by Ripon College Professor of Theatre Ken Hill and his wife, Visiting Professor of Theatre Susan McDaniel Hill. Although directorship has changed, the spirit of RSPT remains the same, allowing college students, community members – everyone and anyone to audition for and perform in a summer show.
For the past 23 years now, RSPT provides the Ripon community at large with a creative outlet each summer. From Shakespeare to contemporary, the shows staged each year vary, and auditions are open to everyone. Fresh faces and thespians take joy in uniting to put together a night of theatrical fun available to the public at a low cost.
Past shows include “Seven Keys to Baldpate”, “Twelfth Night”, “The Government Inspector” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.
