Imagine Tomorrow Campaign Reaches $40 Million

Imagine Tomorrow CampaignRipon College has surpassed the $40 million fundraising mark, well on its way towards a $50 million goal set in February 2013. The College’s Imagine Tomorrow campaign has added $5 million in the past six months alone, bolstering the school’s endowment, student scholarships, faculty positions and planned building renovations.

“Ripon’s thousands of alumni and friends from all over the country deserve the credit for the success of the College’s campaign,” said Ripon College President Zach Messitte. “This campaign will help us secure our reputation as a first class liberal arts college for the next generation. I am convinced that Ripon’s best days are ahead of us. When completed, the campaign will allow us to continue to attract excellent faculty, constantly improve our facilities and build our endowment so that we can provide competitive scholarships that will allow us to keep attracting the best and brightest students.”

Since February 2013, the campaign has received several new endowed scholarships, high-profile grants from the Suzanne and Richard Pieper Family Foundation and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. New gifts will support the creation of a diversity staff position and a new center focused on connecting good governance and civil dialogue to contemporary political and historical debate.

“The basic principles of this campaign continue to resonate with current and new donors,” said Wayne Webster, vice president of advancement for Ripon College. “I am pleased to say we have a lot of positive momentum behind us, and are poised to deliver on the goals we initially set for this effort. We look forward to a strong finish and even greater participation in the months ahead.”

Set to draw to a close in spring 2015, the $50 million Imagine Tomorrow campaign target will provide $34 million for student and faculty endowed funds, $11 million in Annual Fund support for ongoing operations, and $5 million in leadership gifts for the planning of renovations to athletic, recreation and fitness facilities.
