Ripon College is accepting applications for the position of Associate Director of Admissions. Reporting to the Director of Recruitment and Strategy, this position is a key member of the Admissions recruitment team. The person in this position will be responsible for the graduate admissions program and will serve as a territory recruitment manager to achieve first-year and graduate enrollment goals.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: May include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
- Proactively and energetically serve as a member of the admissions team managing a recruitment territory to assist in achieving enrollment goals for the College.
- Build and execute a recruitment strategy for Ripon’s graduate program in Exercise Science. Serve as the primary contact for the Office of Admissions for the program.
- Implement recruitment strategies outlined in the assigned territory’s enrollment plan, including, but not limited to, high school and college visits, college fairs, area receptions, and events.
- Initiate, plan, and execute special projects in alignment with the office’s goals.
- Collaborate with various college partners to enhance the recruitment program for the College.
- Serve as the Admissions Liaison to the Department of Athletics and coordinate recruitment efforts to reach enrollment goals.
- Collaborate with current students, parents, alumni, and community-based organizations to support student recruitment efforts.
- Provide admissions presentations and conduct interviews with visitors during on- and off-campus events.
- Review applications for both graduate and undergraduate admission, as well as academic scholarships.
- Counsel and guide prospective students through all facets of the enrollment process.
- Continuously follow up with students, parents, and counselors via phone, text message, letters, email, and scheduled appointments.
- Complete regular reports related to recruitment, projections, personal schedules, travel, special programs, and professional development.
- Adhere to all College policies and procedures regarding travel and other requirements.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support enrollment growth.

- Highly developed skills in interpersonal interactions, communication, and public presentations; adept at building rapport with diverse groups, including students, families, school guidance counselors, community organization advisors, and independent educational advisors.
- Communicate effectively via any medium: phone, text, email, and social media.
- Strong public speaking skills in both interpersonal and large group settings.
- Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Must have and be capable of clearly expressing a deep understanding and articulating the significance of a campus-based liberal arts learning experience and receptiveness to varied beliefs and perspectives.
- Knowledge of Ripon College and all its programs and services, and the ability to professionally represent the office and the College.
- Willingness and capacity for travel and work a varied schedule with flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to adapt to an evolving professional environment.
- Knowledge or ability to learn Slate (CRM) to enhance recruitment tasks.
Work Relationships: Works directly with other Office of Admissions staff members, Athletics, and other key campus constituents. Daily contact with prospective students and their families, current students, staff, faculty, alumni, school counselors, and persons outside the campus community.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience with the Slate CRM system
- 5 years of related experience in admissions, recruitment, or student services within a college setting.
- Required to maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
