The Ripon College Department of History invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in U.S. History beginning August 2025. Specialization within the field of U.S. history is required.
The teaching load is three classes per semester. Courses to be covered include HIS 241-U.S. 1815-1914 and HIS 242-U.S. 1914-present. The ability to teach a first-year writing semester is preferred. Additional courses will be based on the candidate’s expertise. Ph.D. or ABD status in History is required, and previous teaching experience is preferred.
