Al Sturgeon

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and a Juris Doctor degree with a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Caruso School of Law at Pepperdine University. My areas of specialization are law and conflict resolution. Since 2011, I have taught a variety of law and conflict resolution courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and law school levels at universities in California and Tennessee. I moved to Ripon College in 2024 as the inaugural associate vice president for student success, and I also hold a dual appointment as assistant professor of political science, where I currently teach Sports Law (EXS 421, cross-listed with business management and political science).
