Dr. Julie Hau is the Director of Career & Professional development at Ripon College. She earned a bachelor of arts in psychology and English from UW-Eau Claire and then a master of science (specializing in counseling and college student development) and a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from UW-Madison.

Her professional goal is to help Ripon College students find their passion and vocation through a psychology of work. Her background in career development includes affiliations with the Alliance of Career Resource Professionals (having served as a former board member); the National Career Development Association; and the Wisconsin Career Development Association (having served as a former board member there, too) — as well as certifications as a Global Career Development Facilitator Instructor with the National Career Development Association and as a Trained Facilitator with the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research.

Julie has extensive experience as a career coach, professor, researcher, and therapist — and has published professional articles and delivered multiple professional presentations and trainings in the career development field.
