I study animal cognition and neuroscience. My courses focus around these two areas as well and include: Learning and Behavior, Behavioral Neuroscience, Sensation and Perception, Drugs and Society, and Inside the Animal Mind. My lab tests a number of species including rats and dogs. We love trying to understand what animals are thinking! Outside of the college, I spend time with my own animals and enjoy performing in community theater.
What is something you’ve experienced that makes Ripon College special?
Ripon College is an amazing place to watch students grow and find themselves. I love watching students find their passions and I love being a part of that journey.
What tech tool could you not live without?
I threw out my Apple Watch while on a trip to Jamaica with the In Focus course at Ripon. I realized that technology often impairs our connections instead of helping us build them. I never put the watch on again and haven’t regretted it for a moment.
What are you currently reading or watching for fun?
I am currently obsessed with Fredrick Backman books!
