I am Steven Sorenson, an attorney with over 35 years of experience providing legal counsel on corporate law, business succession, estate planning, and municipal matters. My work in real estate includes advising on land use, zoning, waterfront litigation, and nonmetallic mining. I also serve as a Fond du Lac County Court Commissioner and act as a mediator and arbitrator in real estate and labor disputes. I had the honor of serving as President of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the National Conference of Bar Presidents. My involvement extends to the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation Board, the Green Lake County/Ripon Area Foundation Board, and other community organizations.
I am an adjunct professor and the pre-law advisor at Ripon College, where I teach courses such as POL 200: Business Law, POL 212: Introduction to Law, POL 216: Constitutional Law, POL 217: State and Local Government, and POL 218: The U.S. Supreme Court: Past, Present, Future. Many of our political science graduates have gone on to have successful careers in the legal field, and I truly enjoy mentoring students who wish to pursue legal careers.
