Sheboygan artist will show paintings at 314 space with opening April 8
Frank Juarez, a Sheboygan, Wisconsin, artist, photographer, gallery owner and art educator, will display paintings in an exhibit opening from 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 8, at 314: Ripon College Project Space on Watson Street in downtown Ripon. Refreshments will be served.
The exhibit will run through May 15.
Juarez is the art department chair at Sheboygan North High School. He is involved in local, regional, state and national arts organization such as the Wisconsin Art Education Association, and National Art Education Association, and has served as a board member for the Milwaukee Artist Resource Network, Arts Wisconsin and Cedarburg Cultural Center.
He organizes local and regional art exhibitions, community art events, facilitating presentations, and supporting artists through professional development workshops, use of social media and networking. He presents at universities and colleges on the business of art and has founded two projects focused on contemporary art and art education: the Midwest Artist Studios and 365 Artists 365 Days Project. He was named the 2015 Wisconsin Art Educator of Year by the National Art Education Association.
