Ripon College welcomes Sejal V. Shah ’96 to the Board of Trustees

This week, Ripon College is honoring and welcoming the new members of the Board of Trustees. The board will meet on campus this week.

Sejal V. Shah ’96 of South Barrington, Illinois, has been elected to the Ripon College Board of Trustees, effective Dec. 8, 2020.

He is the chief executive officer of TotalMed Inc. and TotalTek.

At Ripon, Shah earned a degree in economics, was a member of Merriman fraternity and has remained active in the fraternity as a financial supporter and mentor. His business partners also are Ripon alumni: Jason Beck ’01 with TotalMed and Brock Bauer ’02 with TotalTek.

Shah employs numerous Ripon College alumni, has volunteered as a Career Discovery Tour host and has supported the Ripon Fund and Department of Athletics.

He studied economics at Marquette University.

His family includes his wife, Ann, and three children.

“The biggest way to make an impact on someone’s life is through education,” Shah says. “I think serving on the board is a great way to learn more about how academia works, from the inside out, and to find a way to give back to Ripon. My experiences there were super-helpful.”

He hopes that by supporting and advancing the administration, teachers and program at Ripon, “hopefully I can help create that opportunity and provide that same value to students, and help set Ripon up for success for the next 100 years.”
