Alumni Award Call for Nominations

Plans are already underway for Alumni Weekend 2014 and the Alumni Office is seeking nominations for the Distinguished Alumni Citation and Outstanding Young Alumni Award. The deadline for nominations is August 1st, 2013. Nominations will be considered for alumni celebrating reunions next summer, including the classes of 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2009 and all classes prior to 1964. Here are the awards criteria:

The Distinguished Alumni Citation
This award recognizes those alumni who, in thought and deed, embody the highest ideals and aspirations of a Ripon College education. Candidates may be selected on any one of the following criteria:

  • Distinction in his/her chosen field or profession (distinctive achievement)
  • Rendering outstanding service to his/her country, state or community (outstanding service)
  • Rendering outstanding service to, and demonstrating a loyal and active interest in Ripon College (meritorious service).

Eligible class years: all years prior to 1964, and all class years with reunions in 2014 more than 10 years out of college (1964-1999).

The Outstanding Young Alumni Award
This award recognizes and honors recent Ripon College graduates (10 years or less from graduation) who have, through personal efforts and commitment to the College or their local communities, distinguished themselves among their peers.

Eligible class years: 2004-2013, preferred class year, 2004 or 2009.
