President Zach Messitte’s research in Italy gets international attention
President Zach Messitte was featured in a television interview, “Zach Messitte and The New York Times,” which aired Feb. 27 on Dinamo TV in Italy. Messitte is on sabbatical during the spring semester and is living in Italy to research a book about Americans playing basketball in the Italian professional league.
He discussed work he is doing with the Cremona basketball team, as well as his article in The New York Times that suggests the NBA All-Star game could take some notes from the eight-round Coppa Italia tournament. “Forget the All-Star Game. Start Watching Italian Basketball” was published Feb. 16.
