4:15 p.m.Public Lecture on Environmental Humanities and Environmental Justice | Little Theatre, East Hall
Join us for “The Environmental Humanities, the Sciences, and Environmental Justice: Reflections from the Crossroads,” a public lecture led by Rob Nixon. Rob is the Barron Family Professor in the Humanities and the Environment at Princeton University. This event is sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and Ripon College.
6 - 8 p.m.Family Game Night | The Spot, Harwood Memorial Union
Enjoy board games with friends, challenge your family in card games, or relax and participate in some outdoor games. S'mores are provided, but other food and drinks options are available for purchase.
7 - 8:30 p.m.Yid Vicious Concert | Demmer Recital Hall, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts
Celebrated for their unique blend of traditional and contemporary Yiddish folk music, award-winning Yid Vicious has been engaging and delighting audiences throughout the Midwest since 1995, when the band was formed “in order to ameliorate the woeful dearth of klezmer in America’s otherwise pleasant heartland.”

7:30 a.m.Rally Run/Walk | Meet outside The Spot
Get ready to run and smile your way through this Rally Run! Time is on your side with this event since it will not be officially timed, but will have a volunteer at the finish line if you would like to check your time. This run will take place through campus and around town. All ages are welcome to participate so bring a friend, significant other or the whole family!
9 - 10:15 a.m.Continental Breakfast and Presidential Welcome | Great Hall, Harwood Memorial Union
Join President Victoria N. Folse and members of the College administration team for welcome remarks and an update on the State of the College, followed by a question and answer session. The Ripon Parent Network will host a complimentary continental breakfast from 9 - 9:30 a.m.
11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.Walk on the Prairie | Meet at the Ceresco Prairie Conservance trailhead west of the Willmore Center
Join Professor of Biology Emeritus Skip Wittler and Associate Professor of Biology Ben Grady for a guided trail walk through the College’s 130-acre conservancy that features native prairie, oak savannah, and wetlands habitat.
1 p.m.Red Hawks Football vs. Cornell College | Hopp Stadium, Union/Thorne Streets, Ripon
3 - 5 p.m.Cemetery Tour | Meet at the firepit outside of The Spot
Join Professor of Art History Travis Nygard and the Historical Society as they talk about the architecture and history of the cemetery located on the Ripon College campus.

Sunday, October 1

10 a.m. - 1 p.m.Brunch | Main Dining Room, S.N. Pickard Commons
Enjoy a delicious brunch provided by SAGE Dining Services. Students will swipe, guests are just $5 at the door.
3:15 p.m.Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra | Willmore Center Field House
Presented by the Caestecker Fine Arts Series Endowment and the first family of Ripon College, Vickie and Dick Folse, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra will provide a free performance to the community with no tickets required. Click here to learn more.
