Adam Sonntag ’08 returns to Ripon as new city administrator

Today, March 15, Adam Sonntag ’08 begins his new position as city administrator for the City of Ripon.

The editorial “Welcome (back) to Ripon, Adam Sonntag!” was published March 10, 2021, in the Ripon Commonwealth Press. It welcomes Sonntag with an ode to the charms of small-town Ripon life.

Sonntag was city administrator for the City of Hillsboro, Wisconsin, since 2011. He also has served as a regional director for the Wisconsin City/County Management Association and a member of the League of Wisconsin Municipalities Lobby, the Monroe/Vernon/Crawford Growth Fund Board, Hillsboro Library Board and Hillsboro Lion’s Club.

He majored in history at Ripon College with minors in English and educational studies. He earned a master’s degree in public administration from Minnesota State University–Mankato.
