Stargazing with SPS
October 22nd: 2:00 am - 3:00 am @ Lane Library
SPS will be hosting a stargazing event on the library roof (under the supervision of Dr. Othon). The event will go from 9-10 pm, and we will hopefully catch a glimpse of the Orionids meteor shower. Telescopes will be provided by the physics department. No more than 10 people will be allowed on the roof at one time, and if needed, students can wait in the seating area on the fourth floor until they are able to enter the roof. One telescope will placed on the ground outside the library for a moon viewing as an alternate program for those with accessibility issues, and sparklers will be provided on the ground as well (and not allowed on the roof).
