Asylum and the Changing Face of Immigration

September 26th: 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm @ East Hall Room 101

Kat Griffith, Fond du Lac County Board Supervisor and community leader, will present on immigration and asylum seeking in East Hall Little Theatre. Griffith has followed this issue and personally worked with many refugees throughout the decades. Utilizing statistics and figures, Griffith deconstructs various misconceptions regarding the state of the southern border and the asylum-seeking process. Incorporating photographs, she reveals her own experiences while visiting the detention centers that hold noncitizens awaiting court proceedings.

This event is sponsored by the Center for Politics and the People, the Center for Diversity and Inclusion, and the League of Women Voters of the Ripon Area. Admission is free and open to the public.
