Assistant Director for Transfer Recruitment

Ripon College is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Director for Transfer Recruitment. Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment (VPE), this position serves as a member of the recruitment team for the Office of Admissions. The Assistant Director of Recruitment reports to the VPE, develops knowledge of the Ripon College curriculum, coordinates articulation agreements, coordinates Transferology, and supports Ripon College’s efforts to increase student recruitment, enrollment, retention, and transfer opportunities, particularly with non-student-athletes. This position represents Ripon College at recruiting and transfer events and requires the ability to effectively engage students, staff, faculty, parents, and community partners.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: May include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
- Coordinate daily operations for transfer recruitment.
- Keep abreast of curricular changes and potential impact on existing articulation agreements.
- Serve as an internal and external resource on articulation agreements.
- Coordinate collaborations between Ripon College representatives and appropriate counterparts at partner institutions to develop and maintain articulation agreements.
- Maintain knowledge of all Ripon College academic programs.
- Coordinate with academic units and Registrar on transfer course equivalencies and maintains accuracy of Transferology.
- Engage with enrollment management, admissions, and other student services.
- Conduct annual review of existing articulation agreements in collaboration with Ripon College and partner institution representatives to ensure curricular alignment.
- Utilize Institutional Research data and resources such as IPEDS to identify transfer pathways.
- Oversee the collection, maintenance, and analysis of transfer data and records.
- Complete Transcript Evaluation for admitted students, submit to the Registrar for review, and communicate findings to students.
- Maintain the transfer and articulation webpages.
- Utilize Transferology and Slate to organize and maintain resources and related data.
- Develop and implement database applications, spreadsheets, document templates and other technology solutions to automate and streamline processes.
- Manage statistical data for reports.
- Prepare transfer services and articulation materials for publications.
- Assist in the marketing of the college and in the development and execution of a transfer-specific communication plan through collaborative efforts with the Admissions and Marketing and Communications Offices.
- Work with the individual athletic programs and coaches in order to better assist in the recruitment of transfer student athletes.
- Serve as a backup to other counselors covering first year recruiting territory; assist with campus visit, college fair, event and Saturday coverage as needed for the prospective first year population and perform other enrollment driving job duties as assigned.

- Knowledge or ability to learn SLATE (CRM) to enhance recruitment tasks.
- Knowledge or ability to learn Transferology to enhance transfer recruitment.
- Experience with, and sensitivity to, diverse populations.
- Knowledge of admissions processes and policies including a commitment to follow NACAC’s Guide to Ethical Practice in College Admission.
- Ability to travel and work a varied schedule with flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Required to maintain a valid driver license and satisfactory driving record.
- Knowledge of Microsoft environments (Outlook, Word and Excel) as well as Google Suites (Docs, Drives and Sheets).
- Ability to represent the office and the College in a professional manner.
Work Relationships: Works directly with other members of the Office of Admissions staff, the Registrar’s Office, Athletics, academic advisors and community/technical college colleagues.
Daily contact with prospective students and their families, current students, staff, faculty, alumni, and persons outside the campus community.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Knowledge of current transfer and articulation practices.
- Experience with providing direct support to students.
- Experience with research and compiling data.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and planning skills.
- Experience with Google Suite, student information systems, and degree audit tracking software.
- Knowledge of Slate, Transferology, and transfer processes with three years of related experience in admission, transfer, or student services within a college setting.
