Professor, alumna have chapter in newly published book

Joe Hatcher, professor of psychology, and Rachel Detrie ’15 have a chapter in Internationalizing the Undergraduate Psychology Curriculum: Practical Lessons Learned at Home and Abroad, published this month by the American Psychological Association (APA). The chapter the pair contributed is called “Peace Studies in Jamaica: A Focus on Psychologically Relevant Service Learning.”

Hatcher has led student experiences to Jamaica since 1995. Detrie traveled to Jamaica as part of Hatcher’s course in 2014. She is now studying for her doctorate in clinical psychology at Central Michigan University.
