Meet Peter Sensenbrenner

I have been a resident of Ripon since 1984 and an adjunct professor, off & on, since 1992. My focus was business, entrepreneurship, and the relationship of business to society. Recently, I developed a course to introduce students to techniques and styles of management.
My vocation was hospital management, then COO of a 1 million square foot distribution warehouse, and an executive director of a Red Cross Chapter.
What is something you’ve experienced that makes Ripon College special?
In 2015, I was asked to be the Baccalaureate speaker. That was a thrill. Also, the talent I see and the enthusiasm of the faculty makes me proud to be associated with the college.
What’s the best advice about teaching you’ve ever received?
Know Thyself. Feel comfortable in your own skin, so you can understand others.
What is something your students would be surprised to learn about you?
One of my departmental responsibilities was to tell the world Elvis Presley died.
