Commencement Weekend 2023 Schedule

Friday, May 12

1 p.m.Senior Class Photo - Harwood Memorial Union Steps (Rain site: Bear Auditorium)
Class of 2023 graduates will have their class photo taken at 1 p.m.
1:30 - 3 p.m.Senior Graduation Rehearsal - Bear Auditorium, Farr Hall of Science
All graduates are required to attend rehearsal for important information regarding the weekend’s events and formal ceremony.
6 - 9 p.m.Senior Banquet - Great Hall, Harwood Memorial Union
This private event is only for seniors who make reservations.

Saturday, May 13

7:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.Common Grounds: "We Proudly Brew Starbucks" Coffee Shop - Lower Level, Pickard Commons
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.Ripon College Senior Art Exhibit - Lobby, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts
10 a.m.ROTC Commissioning Ceremony - Demmer Recital Hall, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts
This event is for the purposes of commissioning three Redhawk Company cadets as Second Lieutenants into the United States Army, Army National Guard and Army Reserve. It will be attended by cadets and the families and friends of those commissioning.
11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.Intercultural Convocation - Home of President and Mr. Folse, One Merriman Lane (Rain site: Demmer Recital Hall, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts)
A collaborative effort between Ripon College and the Center for Diversity and Inclusion, this ceremony honors diversity and celebrates cultural traditions by creating a student-centered inclusive space to celebrate the graduation of multicultural students. It is accessible to all students, their family members and the general public. Refreshments will be provided.

All graduates, their families, faculty members and staff are invited and encouraged to attend. President Folse will provide brief remarks at 4:30 p.m. prior to a celebratory champagne toast.
8 - 9 p.m.Baccalaureate Service - First Congregational Church, 220 Ransom Street, Ripon
Open to graduates, their families, faculty, staff and community members, this interfaith service features Class of 2023 speakers, performers and artists. This year's Baccalaureate student speaker is Nate Clark, and the main speaker is Professor Erin Bryan.

Sunday, May 14

7:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.Common Grounds: "We Proudly Brew Starbucks" Coffee Shop - Lower Level, Pickard Commons
9:15 a.m.Phi Beta Kappa Induction - Kresge Little Theatre, East Hall
10 a.m.Senior Brunch and Forum - Brunch served until 10:30 a.m. with Forum from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m., Pickard Commons
President Folse will moderate a discussion featuring the honorary degree recipients and other special guests.
12:15 p.m.Commencement Procession Assembly - Students will assemble in Keipe Gymnasium, Willmore Center
1 p.m.Commencement Ceremony - Willmore Center Field House
Formal ceremony to honor the Class of 2023 featuring remarks from President Folse and other special guests. This year's Senior Class Commencement speaker is Abi Urbina.
