Residential Programming
Our staff of 31 student resident assistants plan programs each semester tailored to the unique needs of their residents and accompany residents to a variety of other events organized by across campus.
Examples of past programs include social events like Adopt-A-Fish, holiday ornament decorating, competitions, Quad Bash, stress relief and Ripon pride, or programs that touch on a variety of educational topics like natural hair, safety, alcohol, sexual assault, eating disorders, women’s health, diversity and student success strategies.
Late night programming at Ripon College is sponsored by the Office of Residence Life and is known on campus as Ripon After Dark (RAD). Held Thursday, Friday or Saturday evenings after 9 p.m., RAD activities offer students fun opportunities to gain experiences in programming, leadership development and responsible social interaction.
What kinds of activities take place on these nights? You name it! We offer anything from games to arcade tournaments to movie nights to fun competitions. Past events have included karaoke, grocery bingo, tie dye, poker tournaments, craft projects, video game competitions and life size game shows like Deal or No Deal.
How can you get involved? For most of these nights, there’s nothing to sign up or pay for ahead of time – just look for on-campus announcements and show up to the designated campus location prepared to have fun! Most of these free events allow you to win fun gifts, food or gift cards to local area businesses.
